A weekend of mixed emotions and mixed weather conditions for the team at Silverstone for round five of the GB4 championship.
Starting off strong for Leon Wilson qualifying in P3 with only 0.003 seconds between him and second position. A steady race one for Wilson secured him a podium P3 and more silverware to add to his collection. Ava Dobson and Dudley Ruddock also endured a steady race one, with Dobson gaining a position.
Race two was a tough one due to a last-minute wet race announcement, causing the majority of the grid to pit for wets on formation. A hold-up in the pit lane lead to a mixed grid position and not necessarily the results we were hoping for. Ruddock however, managed to gain an impressive seven positions taking him to P14.
The final race of the weekend in reverse-grid formation meant that Wilson started from P10 and gained two positions finishing P8. Dobson unfortunately got held up dropping back some positions and Ruddock kept it steady once again going from P21 to P17.
Overall, the team have taken some positives and some lessons away from this as we set our eyes on the penultimate round, Brands Hatch GP, on the 23rd - 24th August.
