It was a dominant display from the TRS Arden trio who controlled proceedings from the outset, with Piastri and Quinn getting away brilliantly off the line and Simmons jumping Jamie Caroline to move
immediately into third. Olli Caldwell maintained his position after a good start to get into the battle for the top 10 and points from the off as well.
The leading Arden trio bolted away from the chasing pack - holding station with the gaps stagnated between the three into a race of their own, as they traded fastest sectors time and fastest laps, pushing each other on as the race unfolded behind them. Piastri, Quinn and Simmons were untouchable out front trading fastest lap times for the duration. Their respective quickest laps of the race
covered by a mere 0.022s.
The safety car was deployed after an incident in the mid pack left a Johnathon Hoggard stranded on the exit of the chicane. The pack bunched back up for the short safety car period. Piastri went early on the restart, bringing Quinn and Simmons with him. The three Arden drivers once again managed to pull away from Logan Sargeant in 4th position and run a race of their own out front.
Caldwell continued to make progress, as he locked onto the back of Harry Webb's gearbox, pushing hard for the victory in the Ford F4 Challenge Cup. The two battled right up to the chequered flag, as Caldwell just missed out when the red flag was brought out with a minute to go - after a collision at the final corner left Manuel Suliaman stranded on the racing line.
The red flag curtailed the race, with Piastri taking his 5th victory of the season, as Quinn and Simmons locked out the podium for Arden - their first ever podium lock out in British F4. All drivers were members of the Arden Motorsport supported Young Racing Drivers Academy (YRDA) showing the great effect of the program in establishing British F4 winners.

it on pole on Saturday. It’s amazing really and fantastic to deliver a

Ayrton Simmons “To get a 1-2-3 finish in British F4 is such a hard thing to
achieve. It doesn’t happen very often because the
series is so competitive. We all had the exact same pace. Arden do an amazing job to bring in
the right drivers who will click as a team and perform individually as
well.”
The reverse grid race took place earlier in the day at Knockhill. Quinn led the Arden quartet as he made a good launch up to 5th position, just ahead of teammate Simmons and Piastri. The latter made a good start to get ahead of championship rival Caroline.
Quinn made his move up to 4th position and set about challenging Hampus Ericsson for the final place on the podium. Simmons followed Quinn through as the two Arden's began to reduce the deficit to the leaders in front - even more impressive considering the Arden quartet had chosen to save their new tyres for the final race, compared to their rivals.
Piastri was challenging Linus Lunqvist at the hairpin, when the two made contact - damaging the Aussie's front wing Piastri did well to nurse his car to the finish with the lack of front downforce hampering his progress.
As the cars bunched up behind Ericsson defending third position, Caroline made a move on Simmons to take fifth position. Two laps later though, Simmons was not to be denied, sending in a bold move up the inside into the final corner to reclaim the position. Quinn made a final challenge for the podium on Ericsson, ultimately to no avail and settled for 4th position at the finish. Simmons followed home in 5th position, Piastri in 8th position and Caldwell taking 3rd on the Challenge Cup podium with a 13th place finish.
After a brilliant end to the Knockhill round of the British F4 Championship, Piastri leads the TRS Arden quartet 2nd overall in the championship on 288.5 points as the series reaches the business end of the season.
Quinn is 4th overall in the standings on 216 points, Simmons sits 7th on 169.5 points and Caldwell is up to 4th overall in the Challenge Cup, despite missing the first half of the season.
The next round of the F4 British Championship - Certified by FIA powered by Ford will take place at Rockingham on the 26-27 August for Rounds 22-24 of the championship.
